From 0 to 100: Social media marketing for the medium-sized deep drilling technology company Tibo

Introduction

Tibo Tiefbohrtechnik GmbH is a globally operating company that specializes in the design and manufacture of modular deep drilling machines. By developing customized deep drilling solutions, Tibo covers a wide range of applications and its deep drilling machines are in use on all five continents.

Until now, the products and services were primarily marketed via the sales force and the website. The challenging times caused by the global coronavirus pandemic and the associated cancellation of important events and trade fairs was one of the main reasons why Tibo decided to enter into social media marketing. Tibo took on this challenge with the professional support of Social DNA in order to tackle this project in a targeted manner and be at the forefront of digital marketing.

Here we provide a brief insight into the exciting project and show the stages that Tibo went through to get off to a successful start in social media.

The results of the first social advertising campaign

Tibo Tiefbohrtechnik GmbH's first social advertising campaign was a complete success. The goals of positioning the company in social media, increasing the reach of the Tibo brand and its product portfolio and empowering the Tibo team were achieved thanks to the excellent collaboration between Tibo and Social DNA. The benchmarks set at the beginning of the project were met; the Facebook platform achieved particularly good results.

All previously set benchmarks were exceeded here. Tibo's website visitors increased many times over thanks to the social media activities. In addition, the ads not only generated clicks on the Tibo website, but also increased the number of subscribers and followers of the company pages. The ad motifs generated many positive reactions, with the "Champions League" motif in particular being very well received by the target groups.

Particularly noteworthy is the commitment of Tibo employees, who have developed an increasing interest in and enjoyment of social media and have built up a community around the area of "deep drilling". We are delighted to have been able to accompany and support Tibo in its entry into social media marketing and are delighted with the results.
